Most jugglers are happy to learn as many tricks as they can from the well-established body of juggling tricks that has been handed down by previous jugglers. There are some jugglers, however, who would rather spend their time inventing new juggling patterns. I think of them as the mad scientists of juggling. Always pushing the envelope, these innovators consciously move their props in strange and interesting ways. It may seem weird and messy, but this type of experimentation is the driving force behind the evolution of juggling.
